Traveled to Philly with Dad Jason, Doug and Asher
in the car! It was a pretty long trip but we just came back from a 2000
mile 10 day trip so this one doesn’t feel too long. We played at the Philly’s
beautiful art museum. They have a weekly jazz series. We played in a
beautiful open area where people gathered all around and on the steps.
There were many jazz fans that came for the performance. I have to say
that the museum is absolutely gorgeous. The outside of it is breath
taking. My art history teacher was saying that it’s the closest to seeing
the Greek Parthenon. The band was joking that we should play Rocky’s
theme song while one of us ran up the steps he! he!.

I met some lovely people
at this performance including someone from South Africa! It’s always
exciting when someone tells me they’re from a far a way place (especially one I
haven’t been) and that they’re bringing my cds back to share. I
absolutely love that. I also got to meet Jordan
(my drummer’s) whole family. They all live there so they were delighted
that I brought him to perform in Philly (so they could see them) and it was so
nice meeting them!
Headed right to the Berkshires after. It was 4 more
hours of driving. But before we did we stopped to eat some food. We
found a great dumpling place in the heart of Philly. Their specialty was
"Juicy pork buns” when I bit into them there was broth all around the actually
dumpling meat. It was just delicious! I have no idea how they make them
but I want some right now!! We got to the Berkshires around 3:30 in the
morning and Dad stayed up listening to the TV show Dexter that Doug was
watching on his phone (via netflix). I think they watched 4 episodes or
something!
