Blues For Harry Bosch (Mocean Worker Remix)

Blues For Harry Bosch is a track on Grace’s new CD “Trying To Figure It Out”. Written and performed by Grace Kelly perfectly illustrates the concept as a retro-jazz piece with a film noir-ish feel yet thoroughly contemporary with a clubby trance groove produced by uber-popular spin-master, producer and Jazz/Electronica musician Mocean Worker.

“I wanted to write a song that sonically portrayed the feeling of Bosch getting ready to jump into a crime scene. ‘Blues for Harry Bosch’ is layered with anticipation, excitement, and a bit of mystery. The video is meant to evoke those feelings on a deeper level. To create a visually cohesive and swanky vibe, I combined my vision with the actual footage of Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), and the scene of me with my band performing the song. In the end it all ties together beautifully.”

“Blues For Harry Bosch” was written for the Emmy nominated series BOSCH released March 11th on Amazon Prime in which Kelly appears as herself; the jazz loving Harry Bosch, (Titus Welliver) an L.A. homicide detective, stops into Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood to see her perform in episode 2 during the show’s second season. Said Bosch author Michael Connelly, “When I hear Grace Kelly play I get inspired. Her music is infused with a relentless rhythm and energy – qualities I want in my own life. This album is a tour de force of her talent as composer, musician and bandleader and should be a mainstay in today’s jazz scene.” The video photography and editing is the amazing work of Mehdi Hassine.
